We started Living Rock Maasin back in 2003. Although work has been slow (Catholic presence is very strong in the area), the Lord has blessed our ministry with between 50-60 members, including children. Our members belong to very poor families who earn less than three dollars a day. Besides the preaching of the Word of God, we have also a feeding program for children, medical missions, family planning seminars, Bible seminars (Foundations of Faith), and livelihood programs.
Our pastor handling the ministry in Living Rock Maasin is Pastor Lloyd U. Basco. Pastor Lloyd is scheduled to go to Singapore on the 26th of this month to be with his wife, Mariless, and start another Living Rock church there. Living Rock Maasin will be handled by Bro. Ira J. Taala starting June 22, 2008.
Our Maasin Team includes Sonny Garingo (Music), Geline Taala and Stanly Eliezer Garingo (Children), Lazaro Declaro (Pastoral Assistant).
